At the Restoration Hutt seat weaving is our speciality. We work on all types of cane, rush and Danish cord furniture. In addition to our restoration work we are now pleased to offer short courses in seat caning (Scroll on for details)
Seat caning for beginners
This one day course is designed to teach the fundamentals of cane seating. Using a pre-prepared panel, students will learn how to weave the standard six-way pattern found on most cane furniture.
Students will leave with a completed panel, a detailed, step by step guide and, hopefully, the confidence to tackle their first restoration project!
The price of the course is £75.00
All materials and tools required are included and tea/coffee is provided.
